Bona-Venture L3C is a Metro-Detroit based social enterprise that donates all profit after taxes to assist in feeding the hungry. All profits are donated to Gleaners Community Food Bank.
The goal of social enterprise is to assist non profits move towards sustainability and self sufficiency by assuring a continuous source of revenue to sustain their mission.
On average, the sale of one loaf of bread at market prices generates sufficient profits / donations for Gleaners Community Food Bank to provide 6 meals to the hungry. Total meals to date--120,495
By Visiting Bona-Venture at Eastern Market or sponsoring an event.
Bona-Venture participates MOST Saturdays at Eastern Market from the first Saturday in April to the last Saturday before Christmas. We are located in Shed # 3 usually on the center hub. Look for the bread man in the WHITE BAKERS HAT.
